Premier Foods launches new stand-out packaging for Peckish

Premier Foods is investing in its rice-based snack brand, Peckish, with a packaging re-design to further highlight the product’s great taste. With more shoppers on the lookout for healthier snacks that don’t compromise on taste, Peckish is a perfect choice at less than 90 calories per portion and with four flavours to choose from.  

Peckish is already the number one rice cracker brand in Australia and New Zealand , and the brand continues to gain traction in the UK. From May, the multipacks, including Cheddar Cheese and Tangy Barbecue, will be rolled out into Tesco.  

Premier Foods is confident that the packaging refresh will attract more health conscious consumers to the brand. Andy Smith, Marketing Controller at Premier Foods, comments: “The healthier and rice snack sectors account for 60% of total savoury snacks growth . As a gluten-free, baked rice product that already has a loyal following, Peckish is perfectly placed to help retailers meet the consumer demand for lighter options. Less than 90 calories per portion, the thin and crispy crackers are available in four delicious flavours, including Sea Salt & Vinegar and Sour Cream & Chive. Our new packaging carries a brighter design which offers stand-out on shelf and clearly showcases these great flavours.”
