Employees get ready to travel the Big 25 for Macmillan

Our employees get going as we launch our first ever corporate charity cross-site initiative this August.

We’re proud to be launching our first ever cross site charity initiative in partnership with Macmillan this August – where every 25 counts! The number 25 is an important figure for all things Macmillan. £25 funds a Macmillan Nurse for one hour; an hour that can be spent helping to support more people living with cancer. In our two year charity partnership, we’ve committed to funding 10,000 nursing hours for Macmillan through fundraising across all our sites, so the number 25 is a crucial milestone when planning fundraising activities. To help get everyone in the business motivated and raising money for Macmillan this summer, we are challenging our sites to get together and travel 25 miles over 25 days in August, raising as much money as possible along the way. Over 12 of our sites already have a whole host of planned activities to support the challenge, including walking up mountains, participating in the Great North Run, getting active by partnring with local gyms and even cycling between our sites! We aim to raise money to fund over 40 nursing hours during the Big 25 month and engage as many of our employees as we can around charitable giving.
