Mr Kipling visits the Houses of Parliament

Last week we were invited to showcase our exceedingly good Mr Kipling cakes at a ministerial event at the Houses of Parliament. Celebrating all things Staffordshire, the event provided a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the wide range of Mr Kipling Cakes we make at our Stoke on Trent factory, and to update ministers on the scale of our operations and our contribution to local employment.

The event attracted both Staffordshire MPs and leading Government Ministers, including our local MP for Stoke on Trent, Gareth Snell, and Secretary of State for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Michael Gove. During the event we treated Minsters to some Mr Kipling classics including our much loved Cherry Bakewells and Angel Slices, and to our brand new Stem Ginger Slices, new for Christmas 2018, which needless to say went down a treat!

Did you know... we'll produce over 90 million packs of cakes at our Stoke site alone this year! That's a lot of cake.
