Flying the flag for the Food and Drinks Industry

This year we exhibited at WorldSkills UK Live in Birmingham. Celebrated as the UK’s largest skills, apprenticeships and careers event in the UK, it attracted more than a whopping 85,000 people over three days.

During the event we were enthusiastically represented by our 2018 cohort of Graduates, who joined forces with the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink (NSAFD), of which we are members, to promote the diversity of careers available within the food and drinks industry. We weren’t alone – also exhibiting alongside us were a number of prominent food and drinks companies.

Reflecting on the event, Jaz Singh, Premier Foods' Finance Graduate, said: “It was a great chance to showcase the opportunities that Premier Foods offers, from our Apprenticeships to our Graduate schemes. Students, parents and teachers alike all engaged with our activities and very much enjoyed sampling our Mr Kipling cakes and Ambrosia desserts."

Amy Crooks from the NSAFD extended her thanks to everyone at Premier involved: “The feedback has been incredible.  Even the organisers have commented on how popular and interactive your stand was. I don’t think I saw another stand as busy!”
