Supporting the Feeding Britain's Future schools programme

Business leaders from across UK retailing and manufacturing, including some of Premier Foods’ very own, have joined forces in support of the Institute of Grocery Distribution’s (IGD) Feeding Britain’s Future Schools Programme which is helping to teach 13 to 17 year olds about the importance of employability skills needed to find work.
Our participation in the scheme contributes to our commitment of developing the skills our industry needs as part of our Bringing Britain Together sustainability agenda.
As part of the programme, colleagues from across all our sites will be out and about visiting schools to participate in workshops, with the aim of giving students an idea on the types of careers available in the food and drink industry.
Colleagues will be supporting either Year 9 or Year 12 students in a range of topics including Making informed decisions, Skills and strengths, Hidden job market, What are my skills and how do I sell them; and Building my brand. Colleagues support by sharing their knowledge and experience of the food and drink industry, including their own career pathways, and inspirational stories to get students engaged in our industry.
