Ormo breads have been baked in Belfast since 1875.

The great Ormo baking tradition has been carried through generations and handed down today to our team of over 50 skilled Bakers.

The breads we bake include indigenous Irish products such as Soda Farls, Potato Bread and wheaten bread. There was a long tradition of these breads being baked in Irish cottages and farmhouses and Ormo was the first to bake and package many of these for sale.

We also bake pancakes which are so popular they have become the biggest selling brand of pancake in the Northern Irish marketplace. Ormo rolls and fruited products  complete the picture.

The are a number of ‘secrets’ behind Ormo’s success in over a century. Our history archives show that we were always a company dedicated to quality ingredients. During World War 2 when many quality ingredients traditionally imported were not available, we simply stopped baking rather than use inferior ingredients. We have also always focussed on quality products.  Not much changes today, from the use of free range eggs from Northern Ireland to using locally milled flour and fresh buttermilk from Northern Ireland. We are glad to say some traditions do not change.
