Premier Foods’ Chief Executive, Gavin Darby, along with around 300 managers and employees across the business, are taking turns as 'Premier Elves' this Christmas helping keep retailer shelves stocked and looking their best.

This is the third year that Premier Elves have been out in store supporting the field team to improve the visibility and availability of Christmas best-sellers such as Bisto gravy, Paxo stuffing and Mr Kipling mince pies.

The programme has proved a great success with retailers and staff alike. Elfing days have doubled from last year helping drive sales at more than a 1000 stores up and down the country.

Gavin Darby, CEO, commented:

“Premier Elves is an excellent way to get more of our staff in store supporting sales in the busy run-up to Christmas. Premier Foods is one of only a few companies that do this on any scale. The extra help is appreciated by our customers and it's a great way for our people to see first-hand what's working well and what we can improve. I've certainly enjoyed my time on the shop floor."
