Mr Kipling helps celebrate an exceedingly special birthday!

‚ÄčOn Sunday 15 May, Mr Kipling joined forces with ITV to wish Her Royal Majesty The Queen an ‘Exceedingly Good’ 90th Birthday. During the ‘The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration’ programme hosted by Ant and Dec and broadcast live from London in the presence of Her Majesty, Mr Kipling starred in a unique feature-length commercial. 

Ten other high profile brands, including Hovis, Walkers and Plenty took part in the two-and-a-half minute street-party ad, filmed on the Coronation Street set, alongside familiar faces including Paddy McGuinness, Keith Lemon and Fearne Cotton. Mr Kipling’s popular French Fancies were featured as part of an ‘exceedingly good’ party trick by one of the celebrity guests.

Ahead of the very special ad, ITV and the brands took to social media last week using the hashtag #QueensBirthdayAdBreak to create a playful narrative of planning the Queen’s 90th street party. Thankfully Mr Kipling stepped in and saved the day when ITV discovered all the cake had been eaten. What an ‘exceedingly kind’ gesture!
