Miss Sunshine, Joanna Page, star of Gavin and Stacey, launches Mr Kipling’s campaign to cheer up the nation by spontaneously making cake appear when you least expect it.

Joanna Page who is well known for her joyful outlook on life and was recently quoted by David Cameron as “bringing joy to the nation” in her role as Stacey, today launches the first Mr Kipling Cake-To-Go dispenser on Tottenham Court Road, London, an installation board that dispenses free Angel Slices at the push of a button along with the aroma of freshly baked Angel Slices. The dispenser will be giving away free cake until Sunday 1st April.

Mr Kipling knows that cake can bring a moment of happiness on the dreariest of days and with petrol prices, mortgages and general cost of living on the up, he has spontaneously decided to perk up the nation with 19 Cake-To-Go dispensers popping up on streets in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield.

Michelle Wilde, Brand Director for Mr Kipling said: “A slice of cake when you least expect it can bring a moment of joy to your day. Mr Kipling Snap Pack cakes are perfect for bringing that little piece of happiness for you to take and eat on the go.”

Kipling Snap Pack cakes come in five varieties, Angel Slice, Lemon Slice, Pineapple Slice, and the 2 Easter varieties St Clements and Simnel Cake, all individually wrapped, perfect for eating on the go and sharing a moment of joy wherever you are.
