We move up in the Business Benchmark for Animal Welfare review

We're pleased to have moved up one tier in the Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW) annual review, published today

Now in its fourth year, BBFAW’s review looks into how 90 of the world’s leading food companies are managing and reporting their farm animal welfare policies and practices.

Having reviewed our Annual Report, corporate website and brand websites, BBFAW raised our score significantly since last year’s Benchmark, moving us from the fifth to the fourth tier (of six) , noting the publication of our new Animal Welfare Policy, our commitment to using 100% cage-free eggs, and our commitment to limit long distance live transport.

Whilst we are taking steps in the right direction, we recognise there is more work to be done, and welcome BBFAW’s recommendations on how we can further improve our performance.
