We choose our new charity partner

At the end of 2014, after a very successful partnership, we raised over £320,000 for Macmillan. We change our charity partner every two years, so we asked all our colleagues to vote and they have chosen to support Cancer Research UK.

At the end of 2014, after a very successful partnership, we raised over £320,000 for Macmillan. We change our charity partner every two years, so we asked all our colleagues to vote and they have chosen to support Cancer Research UK.

Cancer Research UK fight over 200 types of cancer through research, sharing information and building awareness, direct support, policy making and campaigning. Their ambition is to improve cancer survival from today’s rate of 50% to 75% over the next 20 years.

Following the move of Hovis into a Joint Venture early in 2014, we’re a smaller company than when we set our last target, but we’re keeping our target for Cancer Research UK at £250,000, a relative increase, over our two year partnership.

Commenting on the new partnership, Emma Hodges from Cancer Research UK said: “Thank you to all the amazing colleagues at Premier Foods for choosing Cancer Research UK. We’re so excited that Premier Foods are supporting us to help beat cancer sooner.”
