We’re blazing a trail for Apprentices

We’ve signed up to be a part of the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills(BIS) ‘Apprenticeship Trailblazer’ initiative

Did you know that we’ve signed up to be a part of the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) ‘Apprenticeship Trailblazer’ initiative? The scheme aims to develop improve and enhance standards for Food and Drink Engineering Apprenticeships and is supported by the Department for Education, as well as the National Skills Academy (NSA). Being part of “Trailblazers” will give employers like us the chance to lead the development of new Apprenticeship standards and the high level assessment approaches that sit alongside them. To pledge our support to the initiative, we were on hand at the official launch this week, which involved Prime Minister David Cameron and the BIS Skills Minister Matthew Hancock.
