Sebon Bakery receives M&S ‘Silver’ Accolade

Last week, M&S awarded our Sebon Bakery a ‘Silver’ rating against their ‘How We Do Business’ (HWDB) food supplier sustainability scorecard, part of M&S’ Plan A sustainability programme.

Last week, M&S awarded our Sebon Bakery a ‘Silver’ rating against their ‘How We Do Business’ (HWDB) food supplier sustainability scorecard, part of M&S’ Plan A sustainability programme. During the validation process, the site provided evidence of how they are ‘leaders’ in the way in which they treat their people, how they have improved their efficiency and how they have reduced their environmental impact. Jo Bowen, M&S Food Plan A Delivery Manager said, “We are delighted to confirm that we have validated Premier Foods Hovis Sebon bakery as having achieved Silver on the How We Do Business scorecard. Achieving a Silver rating is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work we know the team has put in over many years, embedding ethical, environmental and lean manufacturing practices across the business”. Bob Spooner, Group Supply Chain Director and Managing Director, Bread, said, “We are particularly pleased to be recognised by M&S in this way and are delighted with this Silver rating. We thank the M&S Food Plan A team for all the support they provided throughout this process and look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.”
