Make the most of your meat waste

Did you know that UK households waste around £260 million of beef products every year? That’s why we're supporting Love Food, Hate Waste’s new campaign, Meaty Issues.

Did you know that UK households waste around £260 million of beef products every year? That’s why we're supporting Love Food, Hate Waste’s new campaign, Meaty Issues, which aims to help reduce the amount of meat people throw away at home, not only saving them money but helping the environment along the way.

From Bisto to Homepride, many of our much loved brands can help bring new life to leftover cooked meat. For example, why not throw in some leftover cooked beef into the wok with some vegetables and a Sharwoods stir fry melt? Or use leftover chicken to make a risotto with mushrooms and a Loyd Grossman pan melt?  Leftover cooked meat can also be used to make delicious soups flavoured by our new Oxo Stock Pot range.

For more leftover recipe ideas, some of which have been contributed by our in-house chef using a selection of Premier Foods products, you can visit the Love Food, Hate Waste recipe section
