23 Premier Foods’ sites participated in Feeding Britain’s Future (FBF) this September, providing over 300 training opportunities.
23 Premier Foods’ sites participated in the Feeding Britain’s Future (FBF) this September, which is more than double the support we provided in 2012. Feeding Britain’s Future is an initiative where companies from the food and grocery industry open their doors to provide free skills training for young unemployed people across the UK. Driven by industry research charity the IGD with support from Jobcentre Plus, the campaign helps the prospects of thousands of young people by providing pre-employment skills training. It will also help showcase the huge range of careers on offer in the food industry, which is the UK’s biggest employer. During September, we provided 309 training opportunities as part of Feeding Britain&##39;s Future which trebled the number we offered last year and we even have a few more workshops to come during October! As part of the initiative, we hosted 9 MP visits at our participating sites and the feedback we received was very positive both towards the objectives of the Feeding Britain&##39;s Future campaign and the significant level of support Premier Foods was providing.
