Colleagues 'Stand up to Cancer' for CRUK

In October, our charity partner Cancer Research UK (CRUK) hosts its national ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ campaign, encouraging celebrities and the Great British public to ‘take on cancer’ in a variety of fun and bold ways.

In support of 'Stand up to Cancer', colleagues across our sites united by wearing orange to help raise vital funds for CRUK’s life saving research.

In Stoke… colleagues donated funds to wear orange hair nets, and raised an amazing £585 which included £100 from sales of hand knitted teddy bears.

In Charnwood... colleagues enjoyed a 'Round the World Pizza Day' and ‘Guess the number of the orange M&Ms’ in a jar game. In Ashford, colleagues raised £260 from an orange cake sale and donating to wear orange hair nets.

In Moreton, colleagues hosted a week long initiative which included bake sales, a raffle and wearing orange hair nets raising more than £2,500! Colleagues in Carlton cashed in a fantastic £642 from their orange fundraising.

Our PBS site in Manchester took part with a dress down and Halloween fancy dress day and the St Albans office raised a fantastic £385 from their Halloween bake sale and dress in orange day.

Thank you to all our Charity Champs for their help and hard work organising the initiative and to all the colleagues who donated.
