Job description

International Cadbury Brand Manager
Based in St Albans

As International Brand Manager for Cadbury in our growing International division you will lead strategy, activation, plans & innovation for the Cadbury cake in all key PF International Markets (excl Ireland), with tactical support for non-core products (ambient desserts, seasoning and baking) across ROW.
Cadbury Cake is currently the fastest growing Brand managed by the International BU and has renewed strategic importance for the next 5+ years, through extension of our agreement with Mondelez. A number of major new territories are available to enter along with a greater need for more hours, focus and commitment and investment to all other key regions.

Key roles and responsibilities…..
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for executing all the following aspects of the Cadbury International Strategy and will co-develop this strategy & roadmap with the SBM (Cake).
Strategy and Roadmap:
  • A clear roadmap for the Cadbury Brand in the Drive markets of Australia, ME, Canada, RSA
  • Development of annual Brand Plans to include share ambition for key markets
  • Development of Tactical Plans for trading markets
  • Innovation pipeline based on UK, sense checked and tailored to International BU
Unlocking Market Potential:
  • Development, management and execution of Activity plans (ATL & BTL) that are aligned and form part of overall country sales strategy
  • Support for both Consumer and Trade Customer requirements in development of these plans
  • Defining the Pricing, Portfolio and Channel Strategies by market
  • Ownership and management of relevant Marketing Budgets
  • Management of agency relationships as required
Analytics and Reporting:
  • Ongoing analysis of internal data to a) comprehend Brand/Market performance, b) share with wider BU Teams  and c) manage & adjust tactics to drive sales and share positively
  • Development of regular insights to allow forward-focus in conjunction with Cat Man team
Winning with Retailers:
  • Translating the Brand Strategy into compelling Category/Consumer growth stories for Buyers
  • Support during Range Review periods
Experience and qualifications needed……
  • University degree (BA/BSc) likely to be in Business, Economics, Marketing etc.
  • c4 years post-degree industry experience, preferably in a blue chip FMCG. 
  • Possibly a promising ABM looking for a step-up or existing BM ready for a fresh challenge.
  • Experience in managing portfolio Brands and Projects.
  • Strong business development focus, possibly a Brand Marketer with a strong commercial background.
  • Strong desire to make a business impact (consumer centric but commercially driven), a self-starter with real ownership mentality.
The Candidate will demonstrate a record of growth within consumer products environments as a result of innovative, consumer centric programs led. ATL experience not essential but strong BTL (Shopper and Consumer) mandatory. They will be ROI focused, comfortable in stretching budgets and looking for cost efficiencies across everything we do. Digital Marketing experience a plus.
