Data Associate
Based in Stoneham, near Southampton.
The IT Service Centre team at Premier Foods are responsible for driving the IS solutions that will enable the achievement of our business goals.  Exciting growth plans within the IT team have lead to the need for us to recruit three Data Associate to be based at our Stoneham site.  As IT Data Associate you will…..
  • Be the first point of contact for business and 3rd party colleagues for a variety of master data queries.  The Data Associate will be expected to work with key stakeholders to proactively identify and resolve master data attributable issues while ensuring any changes that are made are consistent with best practice data quality standards.
  • The Data Associate is primarily responsible for the accurate set up and maintenance of customer, supplier, SKU and bill of material component master data in the Premier Foods SAP systems
The key to success in this role will be the establishment of the working relationship with all Premier Foods IT and Business Teams and the organisations selected 3rd party suppliers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that will look to transform IT support from the traditional over the phone model to interactive social media/chat platforms.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • To be the primary point of contact and responsible for Premier Foods master data maintenance as defined by business processes
  • To be the primary point of contact for the resolution of business and system issues relating to master data
  • To develop and document a centre of knowledge and expertise relating to all Premier Foods master data objects
  • To ensure master data maintenance SLAs are met
  • To ensure master data maintenance audit requirements are met
  • To ensure SAP master data best practice is followed where possible
  • To review and continuously improve the master data maintenance processes either through business change or by identifying efficiencies
  • To ensure data standards are applied to master data objects and continuously review and improve.
  • To feed back to the business and proactively resolve incomplete or corrupted master data provided via the business workflows
  • To develop a culture and team based around the Premier values
  • To demonstrate an agile and fluid approach to challenges and escalations
  • To establish and maintain effective business relationships
  • To work across organisational boundaries, facilitating collaboration, and identifying synergies
Experience and Competencies:
  • English & Maths GCSE A-C
  • Administrative experience
  • Communication skills
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • IT Literate & general database experience
  • Comfortable using Excel
  • Previous experience with SAP
  • IT Support experience
  • Food Industry experience
  • Previous experience in a master data specific role
  • Microsoft Office & Google competency
