Working closely with our suppliers helps us to grow our brands, improve the way we do things and deliver on our sustainability objectives. We foster open and honest supplier relationships to achieve these mutually beneficial goals. We believe we all benefit when Premier Foods is a success.
To help drive that success together with our suppliers, during September 2014 we launched an online Supplier Innovation portal. The portal is for existing and potential suppliers to propose exciting innovations, new ideas and improved ways of working to us. Any supplier can access the portal and we guarantee to respond to all submissions.
Every year we recognise those suppliers who have made an outstanding contribution to Premier Foods in the previous year with our Supplier Awards.
In our most recent supplier awards, held on 1 October 2015, we recognised suppliers in three categories - Increase Sales, Decrease Costs and Drive Sustainability - as well as an overall winner.
Commenting on the event, Procurement and Central Operations Director Mark Hughes said: “The annual supplier awards are a great way for us to recognise outstanding achievement and motivate our suppliers. We’re passionate about our supplier relationships and driving strong partnerships is critical to our growth strategy. There were some tremendous contenders this year and each of the winners demonstrated a true commitment to our business. Congratulations to all.”
We featured on Channel 4's "Food Unwrapped" programme for the innovative way we are using seaweed to reduce the salt content in our Batchelors Pasta 'n' Sauce.
